Edward J. Perry, of Lakewood, PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Born in Honesdale on July 16, 1963, to Wesley Perry and MaryAnn Murphy Perry,
Edward grew up in Hawley, Pennsylvania, and was a proud graduate of Wallenpaupack High School, class of 1981.Edward devoted many years to his career as a heavy equipment operator and foreman at Rienfurt Excavating in Honesdale, PA. He cherished his job and the friendships he built with his colleagues.
A man of many passions, Edward was an avid enthusiast of Mopars and lifted trucks, reveling in the time spent helping his sons build their first trucks. These shared moments encapsulated his joy for life and his love for his family.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 33 years, Valerie Stalker Perry; his son, Luke Edward Perry and wife Jesse; his daughter, Brooke Faith Elizabeth Perry Galloway and husband Joshua; his son, Jack Elliot Perry; and his cherished grandsons, Wesley and Wyatt Perry. Edward also held a special place in his heart for his beloved bulldog, Pearl, and his newest pup, Nash.
Edward was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Edward Perry, and his mother, MaryAnn Murphy Quanchi.
The Perry family extends their gratitude to the Northern Wayne Fire Company and the Town of Hancock Ambulance for their support.
A celebration of Edward's life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Lookout Firehall. All of Edward's friends and loved ones are invited to join in commemorating the man who was truly the heart of his community.
