David Grant Rivenburg, 60 years old, of Honesdale, PA, unexpectedly passed away on October 3rd, 2023 at his home.
David was born in Honesdale, PA on May 24, 1963 to George and Alice Rivenburg. He attended Honesdale High School and graduated in 1981. From the time he was 9 years old, he helped his father, George at Camp Bryn Mawr where he took over as Caretaker when his father retired in 2003.
David belonged to the Ace Snowmobile Club. He was an avid hunter and was a part of the Behind the Arrow bow shoots yearly. He loved to plant food plots, check his trail cameras and share what big bucks he had. He was the Range Master for bullseye at Heberlings. He enjoyed making bonfires, cooking over the open fire and spending time with his soulmate and fiance Leann.
David is survived by his sister Mary Kipp ( and husband Larry); son, Dustin Rivenburg ( and wife, Tiffany); daughter, Kassandra Shoup (and husband, Steve): fiance, Leann Danko; his step children; John Danko ( wife Lana); Michael Danko (and wife, Amber) and Steven Danko: and his nephews; Alan French and Jason Kipp; grandsons, Ethan Shoup; Brody Shoup; Morgan Shoup; Easton Rivenburg; and granddaughters, Amelia Danko and Sophia Danko.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Penny Rivenburg; his sisters, Betty Sweeney and Donna Smith; his parents; George and Alice Rivenburg.
Visitation will be at The Conference Center at Lake Bryn Mawr Camp Sunday, October 8th. from 1:00 -3:00. Immediately, following Rev. Lane will begin the Memorial Service. Friends are welcome to stay after service for dinner and share memories of David.
