Obituary of Floyd W. Kellam

Floyd W. Kellam, 83 of Equinunk, died Friday, April 20, 2012 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Born on September 12, 1928 in Lookout, Pa, he was the son of the late Albert and Freda Mitchell Kellam. He served in the United States Army in Hawaii from 1954-1956. Floyd later worked on the family dairy farm in Lookout and drove school bus for Hancock Central for nearly 30 years. He played baseball for the Lookout Sluggers and was a bowler for leagues in Honesdale and Callicoon. Floyd also worked for several years at Carley Brook Lumber. Floyd enjoyed playing checkers and hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Lookout United Methodist Church.
He is survived by brothers and sisters, Norma Galloway of Lookout, Leslie Kellam and his wife Kathryn of Starlight, Irvin Kellam and his wife Iona of Winterdale, Chester Kellam and his wife Linda of Milanville, Kenneth Kellam and his wife Patricia of Honesdale, James Kellam and his wife Mildred of Lookout, Joan Stanton and her husband Robert of Deposit, NY; a sister-in-law, Elvira Kellam of Waymart, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Kellam and a brother-in-law, William Galloway II.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale with the Rev. Stuart Hunt officiating.
Friends may visit on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Galilee.
