Eric has been apart of my family for as long as I can remember. He would come down and spend the holidays with my family and grandma. He was very kind and always had a good heart. He enjoyed spending time with me and was a grandfather to me. When I was younger I liked to learn about he’s heritage and would talk to him about Germany. As I’ve grown older we would sit on the porch and talk for hours about life. We would talk about my goals and future along with his career and life growing up. I will cherish every memory and I miss him greatly. I love and miss you Eric.
Eric was a kind and generous man. He met my mother about 16 years ago and has been like a grandfather to my children as they grew up. Sharing stories of Germany and trying to speak in German with my son as he was learning the language in elementary school. Spending Christmas with us and thoroughly enjoying watching the kids open their Christmas presents is one of my favorite memories. I watched him share stories of his career with my son and provide guidance and leadership as my son started his college career and shared in my daughter's accomplishments and showing support in everything she did. He was their grandfather in every sense and we will miss him greatly.
I know he is at peace and will be watching over us everyday. We love and miss you Eric.
