Obituary of Gloria C. Stinnard

Gloria C. Stinnard, 84 of Honesdale, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale, after an illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Stinnard in 1986. Born on January 12, 1928 in Torrey, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Myrtle Hiller Colwill. Gloria attended the Bethany Presbyterian Church. She was an accomplished seamstress and worked for both Katz's Factory in Honesdale and the Waymart Knitwear. Gloria enjoyed sewing, making latch-hook rugs and also making dolls and other projects for her family. She was fond of traveling and her family was very important to her. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by three children: David Stinnard and his wife Donna of Damascus, Virginia, Douglas Stinnard, and Darrin Stinnard both of Honesdale. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lila Rickard. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 13, 2012 in the Indian Orchard Cemetery.
