My heart felt sympathies to the Heller family. I was very fortunate to spend 7th grade through 12th grade with Allan. We spent 4 years on the Hawley/Wallenpaupack baseball team, as teammates. I always dreaded taking batting practice against Allan. His fastball was the fastest in the Wayne county league. Allan was a great teammate and a wonderful classmate. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. RIP Allan.

RIP MR. HELLER! I just want to say THANK YOU for just being you. You were a great teacher/person. You cared and helped each kid that needed it. You didn't care who was who or what was what, you were there for all. You will be truly missed, but always remembered. Fly high with those angels because god just got a good one. Say Hi to my dad coach.

I am so sad to hear about Mr. Heller’s passing. He was my gym teacher at Port Colden and then colleague when I started my career there. I have so many wonderful memories of him as my teacher and then co-worker. I enjoyed seeing him at different sporting events after his retirement. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May he Rest In Peace! Michele Kovacs Cooper

Alan is proof that time & distance need not erode friendship. After baseball days together were over, we met only occasionally. However, Alan made each and every reunion feel as if our friendship never abated. His big smile and all his kindness will not be forgotten. God bless.
