Obituary of Ruth M. Sheard

Ruth M. Sheard, 82 formerly of Calkins died Monday, January 23, 2012 died Monday in the Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. She was married to the late Robert Sheard . Born in Wayne County she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Loy Gregg. Ruth married Robert in 1947 where she worked the family dairy farm; canning, cooking, and sewing. She was a secretary for thirteen years at the Damascus School. Ruth was a member of the Calkins Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and played the organ. Ruth was a 4-H leader and a secretary for Wayne County Holstein Association. Ruth is survived by two daughters; Barbara Hauenstein and her husband David of Aldenville, and Jeanne Soblesky and her husband Daniel of Simpson; a daughter in law, Ruthann Santoli of Prompton; a sister, Inez Nolan of Aldenville; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Lance Sheard and a sister, Helen Bartolemeow. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 in the Calkins Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Lane Jones officiating. Friends may visit the church from 10:00-11:00 AM Interment will be in Calkins Cemetery, Milanville.
