Obituary of Roy Hoffman

Roy Hoffman, 88 of Pleasant Mount, Pa. passed away peacefully on November 26, 2018 in Hudson, Florida where he spent his winters.

He was born in the Bronx, N.Y. on April 29 1930 and was one of five children. He is survived by his wife Dorothy and five children, Susan Wolfe, Carey Hoffman, Jill Prabucki, Lisa Hinkle, and Gail Hoffman,nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his companion and caregiver Nancy Dragland.

Roy served in the Navy from 1948 to 1953 and became a mechanic, aircraft inspector and airline pilot. His airline career commenced in 1956 until retirement on 1990. He thoroughly enjoyed his many years with Pan American traveling the world. The last four years of his career were with United Airlines flying to the Orient.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 Main Street Honesdale with Rev. Lloyd Canfield officiating. The family will receive friends at Arthur Bryant Funeral Home in Honesdale from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday December 4, 2018.
