Obituary of Frances J. Compton

Frances J. Compton, 72, of Delaware Towers, Scranton passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa, Scranton. Formerly from Lake Ariel Fran was the daughter of the late Mary Gordon Galloway and step father, William Galloway of Lookout. Following the death of her mother Fran was raised by her maternal aunt, Augusta Gordon and her great aunt, Edna Mills. She was a graduate of Lake Consolidated High School and St. Mary's School of Practical Nursing in Scranton. Fran is survived by her sister, Laurie Savignano and her husband Albert Jr. of Edwardsville; two nieces, Corrie Savignano of Wilkes Barre and Mary Frances Ebert and her husband Christopher John Jr. of Courtdale; a cousin, who was like a second sister, Isabelle Keegan and her husband Robert Jr. of Jessup and their two daughters, Sara Keegan of Jessup and Rebecca Keegan of Apopka, Fl. Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Compton Jr; two sons, Anthony (infant) and Laurence Compton. A private graveside service will be held at Glen Dyberry Cemetery, Honesdale at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A.
