Obituary of Lance C. Thol

Lance C. Thol, 68, of Tyler Hill passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at home. His wife of 46 years is Marion (Ward) Thol. They were married in 1972. Born in Callicoon, New York on November 9, 1949, he was the son of the late Emil and Marion (Springer) Thol. Lance graduated from Damascus High School in 1967. He earned an Associates Degree from Keystone College. Following college, Lance ran Custom Cleaners in Honesdale and Hawley for 14 years, then founded and operated Thol Construction ever since, being involved in countless building and construction projects in the community. Lance was known far and wide for his "bigger than life" personality and for his willingness to help others. He is also survived by his daughter, Hillary Pennell and her husband Ken; his son, Jordan Thol; two grandchildren: Alexis and Liam Pennell, all of North Carolina; a brother Jeff Thol and his wife Jackie of Honesdale; sister, Bonnie Thol of Milanville; two nieces, Nicolette Thol, Eve Laurelin; and nephew, Bart Thol. Family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service which will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in The Beacon Family Center at Calkins Baptist Church, 527 Calkins Road, Milanville, PA 18443. Pastor Lane Jones will officiate. A public viewing will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. in The Beacon Family Center at Calkins Baptist Church, 527 Calkins Road, Milanville, PA 18443.
