Obituary of Clinton L. Carney

Clinton Carney, 76, of Honesdale passed away Friday morning, June 15, 2018 at Wayne Woodlands Manor after an illness.

Born April 27, 1942 he was the son of the late Cecil and Lillian (Skinner) Carney.

Clinton was a lifelong, self employed logger and lumberman. He loved to square dance and traveled many miles to enjoy music and dancing with many friends. Clinton also enjoyed gardening and his golden retriever dogs. He will be greatly missed.

Clinton is survived by four children: Deanna Potenski and her husband John of New Jersey, Matt Carney and his wife Lurleen of Hawley, Kristiann Martin and her husband Danny of Honesdale; and Phil Carney of Honesdale; a brother, Donald Carney of Lake Ariel; two sisters, Faye Heck of Avoca, and Lila Hayes of Virginia; sixteen grandchildren; and several grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Clinton Carney.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in Torrey Cemetery located near the intersection of Fox Hill Road and Torrey Road. All attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Friends may visit on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Clinton's memory to Wayne Woodlands Manor, 37 Woodlands Drive, Waymart, PA 18472.
