I'm so sorry to hear of Ethel's passing. She was quite a lady, and a friend. Living next door to her for quite a few years, I got to know Ethel quite well. We used to discuss flowers, our kids, neighbourhood gossip, and the going-ons in town. I oftened stopped in for abit after coming home from class at the U. of S. Ethel was either cooking or baking for someone in her family that was about to visit. After all, she had a large family who loved and looked out for her. She would tell me stories about her youth, and some of the hard times "coming up." I met most of her children and their children at her 80th birthday celebration. Alot of people! The last time I saw Ethel was around 2 yrs ago when I went to visit. I thought she was doing well until she told me she was expecting company, a woman named Jackie Roberts, who lived next door for quite some time. Then I saw that time had taken some of her memory, and of course I'm sure I aged a little since she saw me last. Time waits for no one! Ethel, you're not having pain any longer, and have reunited with your husband and other family members who have gone before you. May you be enjoying the flowers in heaven, and watch for the next time I see you. I'm sure you'll know me. We'll catch up on all the stuff! God Bless you dear friend!

Ethel has a precious, unique soul and it was my genuine privilege to have known her. I will always remember the special saying she taught me and the way her eyes would light up during a visit. Wishing the family eternal memories.

Please accept my deepest condolences. Its never easy to lose someone special. I hope the followings can provide some measure of comfort as it has to many. In 1 Corinthians 1:3, 4 we read "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials..."
Our Father, Jehovah God, will help your family and friends in such a difficult time. In 1 Corinthians 15:26 he promises us that "the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." I hope the family and friends can find some comfort in this promise.
