Obituary of Catherine E. Olver

Catherine E. Olver, 65, of Pittston, formerly of Honesdale, passed away Sunday morning, March 4, 2018 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband, Stuart Olver. They were married on October 3, 1981. Born December 29, 1952 in Princeton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John James Trani and Hazel Catherine (LaRue) Trani. Cathy was a talented seamstress; she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. A woman of tremendous faith, she found joy in hummingbirds and butterflies. Cathy will be remembered as sweet and devoted wife and mother. She will be dearly missed and forever loved. She is also survived by a daughter, Maryann Lang and her husband Jonathan of Nanticoke, and a son, Jeffrey Olver of Tyler, Texas; two brothers: Lee Trani and his wife Sheila of St. Louis, Missouri, and Craig Trani and his wife Cindy of Weeki Wachee, Florida; two granddaughters: Evelyn and Meredith Nelson, and many nieces and nephews. Cathy was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rosemary Olver. Services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Friends and family may visit on Thursday from 4:30 P.M. through the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
