Sara Jane Tiel of Honesdale passed away December 3, 2017. She was married for 66 years to her beloved husband, the late Francis Tiel who passed away in 2016.
Sara was born in Honesdale April 6, 1932, the daughter of the late Leon and Evelyn Knehr. She was a graduate of Hawley High School, class of 1950 and worked as a clerk in Kretschmers Gift Shop for 36 years. Sara was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by nephews and nieces and was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Sweitzer.
At her request there will be no viewing and burial will be in East Dyberry Cemetery.
