Obituary of Laura E. Ward

Laura Branning Ward of Honesdale, passed away Thursday morning, January 19, 2017 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale where she resided. She was preceded in death by by her husband, Duane Ward in 2008. Laura was the daughter of the late Fred and Mabel (Wilcox) Branning who lived in Lookout. She is survived by three nieces, Patricia Hankins of Honesdale, Janet Roberts of Watsontown, and Doris Keesler of Hamlin; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald Ward and his wife Arlene of Jermyn. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold Branning and Earl Branning; a sister, Irene Branning; a sister and brother-in-law, Marguerite and Russell Keesler; a sister-in-law, Leah Branning; and a nephew, Myron Turner. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. in Hillside Cemetery, Damascus with Rev. Robert Kazinski officiating. In accordance with her wishes there will be no viewing. Friends may gather on Saturday morning at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431 beginning at 9:45 A.M. The procession to the cemetery will begin at 10:00 A.M.
