Thomas W. Appleby, 80, of Honesdale, Pa. passed away at home on December 25,2016 . He was born August 25,1936 in Dover, NJ and lived for the last 29 years in Honesdale, Pa.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sylvia Appleby ,a loving daughter ,Sandy Sikora and her husband Ed Capasso ; a son- in- law, Paul Sikora ; 4 grandchildren: Lindsey Queen, Leslie Sikora, Jessica Sikora and Paul Sikora, Jr.
He is preceded by a son, Tom Appleby and a daughter, Pam Queen. He also is survived by a brother Richard Appleby of Florida and a sister Marilyn Manz of Florida .
He was a Mason/Shriner for over 50 years and was nominated as Honorary President of the Wayne/Pike Shriner's Club . He was also a member of Local 825 Operating Engineers for over 25 years.
He worked for Farm Harvesting and A-L Services in Morris Plains, NJ and then he ran his own company, A&S Services of Honesdale, Pa. as a mechanic for everything from small engines to earth moving equipment.
He loved camping at Keen Lake in Waymart, Pa. and was an avid hunter.
As per his request, cremation was held and there will be no public visitation.
