Donald L. Arnold, 91 of Honesdale, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 in the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center. He was married to the late Mabel Robbins Arnold who died on October 5, 2011. Born on June 27, 1920 in Forest City, he was the son of the late Charles Lynn and Minnie Mae Counterman Arnold. Donald worked at S. J. Bailey and Son for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale. Donald participated in the Quate League. He was a good cook, loved his cars, and would clean them every Saturday. Donald loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Donald is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Robert Stiles of Honesdale; a brother, William Arnold of Honesdale; two grandchildren, Aimee Skelton of Honesdale and Craig Stiles and his wife Julie of Honesdale; three great grandchildren, Riley Skelton, Mitchell Skelton, and Craig Stiles, Jr.; two sister in laws, Betty Arnold of Waymart and Arlene Arnold of Bethany; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin, Russel, and Carl Arnold; and a sister in law, Pearl Arnold. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale. Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday, October 24, 2011 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Interment will be in Clinton Center Cemetery, Waymart.
