Obituary of Eleanor B. Niekrewicz

Eleanor Niekrewicz of Honesdale passed away at home with her family by her side on February 14, 2016. She was married to the late Karl Niekrewicz. Born May 8, 1928 to the late Harry and Elizabeth Knorr Daniels. Eleanor was a material inspector for Katz Underwear Factory in Honesdale and a personal assistant for the owners at Katz Factory when they needed cleaning of personal attire. She also worked alongside her husband Karl. Eleanor attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Honesdale. She loved sewing, gardening, yard work, and her two dogs, Coony and Mitzi. Eleanor is survived by a sister, Lois Marie Lake of Honesdale; two nephews, Donald Lake Jr. and Daniel Lake of Narrowsburg, NY Eleanor was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Franklin, Ruth Niekrewicz, and Dorothy Daniels; two brothers, Robert Daniels and John Daniels. A graveside service will be held in Glen Dyberry Cemetery in the spring at a time to be announced. The family wishes to thank Wayne Memorial Hospice; Charlene, Jessica, Margaret, Kathy, Donna, and Amanda for their loving care. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A.
