To her Family I just wanted you to know Shannon has many, many friends and unrelated family members here in Texas. I truly have been so heartbroken and I have been praying for your family. Shannon will be missed for so many reasons and as not only part of her work family but her friend, I wish her family Peace and the Love of the Lord, in this time of sorrow. I still walk past her desk at work and breath a sigh of sadness, I will miss her smile and her encouraging words even when she wasn't feeling her best. She and I shared many conversations about life and family and I know she love them both with all she had. I miss you Shannon and thank God and your family for sending us a wonderful person.
Love always, all the way from Texas, the Nelson Family.

Shannon was a great friend and a wonderful neighbor. We lived across from each other at the Bluebonnet Apartments in Ennis. My grandchildren made sure we took her to work and picked her up when she would let us. The first thing she told me is she walked because she chose to. Shannon was a very strong person. Even when she moved across town, she lived near my daughter and we continued to take her to work especially on bad weather days. My grandchildren loved Zara and my grandson asked who would be taking care of her. I am so glad she moved to San Antonio and enjoyed a good life and experienced wonderful memories. We will miss her.
