Obituary of Betty M. Dennis

Betty M. Dennis of Honesdale died April 20, 2015. Betty was born December 13, 1925 in Honesdale to the late Russell O. Dennis and Bertha Evans Dennis. Having graduated from Honesdale High School in 1943, Betty worked as a teller in the Farmers and Merchants Bank for 13 years and also for the Wayne County Bank and Trust Co. for 13 years. She retired from the Wayne County Commissioners Office after 15 years. Betty enjoyed traveling to many states and went on several cruises throughout her lifetime. Having been a member of the Women's Club of Honesdale and the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, she volunteered at the Other Shop in Honesdale and also served as a Grey Lady at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Marion D. Swingle and is survived by her niece, Susan Seber and her husband, David T. Seber. There will be no viewing. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central United Methodist Church, Honesdale, PA. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A.
