Obituary of Walter T. Klein

Walter T. Klein, 73, of Honesdale, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning, April 18, 2015 at home. He is survived by his loving wife Dianne DeFazio Klein.
Born February 23, 1942 in Sesser, Illinois, he was the son of the late Walter T. and Dorothy Embrick Klein.
Walter earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Education from Southern Illinois University. He taught high school students and coached sports for three years before attending the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a post-graduate certificate in Physical Therapy in 1969. Since then, Walter has been practicing his profession as a well known and highly respected Licensed Physical Therapist. Walter served on the Honesdale Borough Council for 21 years; he formerly held the position of Council President. An enthusiastic and dedicated member of the Free & Accepted Masons, Walter was active in various Masonic activities. He was a member of Honesdale Blue Lodge #218 where he served as Past Master. He belonged to the Savona Commandry No. 89 Knights Templar, and the Anthony Wayne Chapter #204 wherein he was a Past High Priest. He recently became of member of the Joshua's, also a Masonic organization.
He is also survived by two children: Jennifer L. Keiser and her husband Jeffrey of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Joshua T. Klein and his wife Dana of Elkins Park, PA; a brother: Marvin L. Klein and his wife Kay of Oak Harbor, Washington.
Following cremation, Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at Grace Episcopal Church, 827 Church Street, Honesdale, with the Rev. Edward Erb, Rector, officiating.
Masonic Funeral Services will be held at 6:45 P.M. in the church.
Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made in Walter's memory to Honesdale Blue Lodge #218, 112 9th Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
