Obituary of Doris M. Shaffer

Doris M. Shaffer, age 87, of Beach Lake died Friday, March 13, 2015 at home in Beach Lake. She is survived by her husband, Elwin E. Shaffer. Doris was born September 2, 1927 in Lake Ariel and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Emma Compton Glossenger. She was a member of the Honesdale Assembly of God, and she was known as a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Jim Diehl, Cherry Ridge and a brother and sister-in-law Dave and Lena Glossenger of Bethany; 3 grandchildren: Jonathan Miller, DeAndra Miller and Jennifer Diehl all of Cherry Ridge. A memorial service will be held at the Honesdale Assembly of God, Honesdale at a time to be announced. Arrangements are entrusted to Arthur A. Bryant, funeral director, Arthur A.
