Phyllis Simpson, 79, of Pine Mill, PA died on Monday, August 8, 2011 at home. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edward J. Simpson.
Born in Montreal, Canada she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Guthro) Rudolph.
Phyllis was a gifted homemaker whose life revolved around her family. She especially enjoyed baking and cooking, and also was fond of crafts such as ceramics and needlepoint. Phyllis also loved animals. She will be remembered most as a compassionate, caring, and kind woman who loved her husband and family above all else.
She is also survived by three sons: Edward J. Simpson, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Florida, Wayne Simpson and his wife Pat of Scranton, and Bruce Simpson and his wife Juliann of Wappingers Falls, NY; two sisters: Rose Harris of Ottawa, Canada, and Betty of Vancouver; ten grandchildren: Christopher, Ryan, Jessica, Samuel, Lijiah, Nicole, Danny, and Caitlin Simpson, and Stephen and Matthew Charles.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Freda Landry.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
