Obituary of Ruth Ann Packer

RuthAnn Schweighofer Packer, 65, of Girdland, passed away at in the Moses Taylor Hospital Monday afternoon. Born in Girdland, Pa she was the daughter of the late Elston B. Schweighofer and the late Ruth Irene Schweighofer. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School Class of 1967. RuthAnn was employed as a waitress at Forest Lake Club in Hawley. She was also employed as an outside contractor for Edward J. Schwartz, Inc. Dealership as a cleaning person. RuthAnn loved children, especially everyone else's. RuthAnn is survived by her husband John Packer; they were married on August 16, 1969 at Carley Brook Church in Carley Brook, Pa. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews. A special thank you to cousin John Beardsley for his sincere help with the care of RuthAnn. A special thank you to the Damascus Ambulance and the Wayne Ambulance. A very special thank you to the Moses Taylor Hospital, the Branning, Sprague, and Sells families, and the other 4 wheeler group.
