Obituary of Donald S. Rockefeller

Donald S. Rockefeller, 82 of Waymart, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born in South Orange, NJ he was the son of the late Leroy and Helen Bradbury Rockefeller. Donald was married to the late Lois Siller Rockefeller who passed away December 11, 2001. He then married his current wife, Alvena Clift Komar Rockefeller. Donald served in the United States Navy and Seabee's. He was a plumber and belonged to the Master's Plumber Association, the Rahway Chapter. Donald was very active in the St. John's Lutheran Church, Honesdale. He was a member of the Farmers Fishing Club and Trout Unlimited. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and in his later years enjoyed golfing. Donald also enjoyed volunteering for Habitat For Humanity. He is survived by seven children; Brian and Darrin Rockefeller of Cranford, NJ, Gregg Rockefeller of Manhattan, NY, Lisa and Michael Murphy of Sussex, NJ, Anthony and Heather Komar of Honesdale, Patricia and Ludwig Konzman of Pleasant Mount, William and Sandi Komar of Pleasant Mount, Juliene Graebner of Pleasant Mount. A brother, Robert and his wife Lottie Rockefeller of Colonia, NJ. Fourteen grandchildren, Rebecca, David, Patrick, Sean, Elizabeth, Daniel, Kiley, Anthony, Victoria, Michaela, Ben, Kristine, Eric, and Samantha; one great grandchild,Francis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:00AM in St. John's Lutheran Church,Honesdale with the Rev. Kenneth Buckwalter officiating. Friends may visit the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 PM and on Friday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will be Friday in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Honesdale. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church, 7th and Church Street, Honesdale, Pa 18431
