Obituary of Mildred Chesna

Mildred Chesna, 81 of Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale, died Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Chesna. Mildred lived with her friends, Roger and Patricia Hunt in Honesdale for over twenty years. She graduated from Columbia University in the early 1950's with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Mildred was offered multiple scholarships by several Ivy League Schools to complete a masters degree before she became ill. She lived most of her life in Wayne County. Mildred loved to read and cook. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of her friends. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home ,1228 Main Street, Honesdale, Pa 18431.
