Obituary of Shirley A. Ramirez

Born February 4, 1948 in Augsburg, Germany she was the daughter of Vera H. Montgomery, and the late Gates H. Montgomery. She graduated from Northern Burlington High School in New Jersey. Shirley was formerly a caseworker for Workforce Development in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed her grandchildren, her many friends, her family, and her cats. She is also survived by her son: Christopher J. Ramirez and his wife Shira of Honesdale; brother: Bill Montgomery and his wife Mona of San Antonio, Texas; sister: Gail Montgomery of Georgia; grandchildren: James Albert Ramirez and Isabella Grace Ramirez; and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the First Presbyterian Church of Honesdale with Rev. Michael Lyle officiating. Friends may visit on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's memory to the Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Drive, Honesdale, PA 18431.
