Obituary of Gloria M. Hansen

Gloria M. Hansen of Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, formerly of Tyler Hill and Honesdale, passed away peacefully Monday morning, February 3, 2014, on her 89th birthday. Born in 1925 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Harold Kerber and Pearl Keesler Kerber. Gloria graduated from Honesdale High School. She married her first husband, Clarence Price, on April 9, 1948, and was actively involved with him on the family dairy farm in Tyler Hill until his death in 1968. She also worked at two area nursing homes for many years. Gloria later married Soren Hansen on May 13, 1978, and was preceded in death by him in 1980. She attended Calkins Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who will always be remembered for how much she loved her family and enjoyed taking care of others. She was happiest when spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved hearing all of their accomplishments, and was proud of each and every one. She is survived by two sons: Marvin Price and his wife Betty of Tyler Hill and Randy Price and his wife Jean of Damascus; a daughter-in-law, Marianne Price of Beach Lake; a sister, Kay Van De Linde of Milanville; a brother, Jack Kerber and his wife Elaine of South Carolina; a sister-in-law, Dottie Zimmer of Honesdale; nine grandchildren: Troy Price, Kenny Price, Tammy Kellam, Lynn Price, Theresa Price, Scott Price, Jennifer Warner, Jessica Laffey, and Christopher Price; 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Price, and a brother, Robert Kerber. Friends may visit on Thursday, February 6, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the Calkins Baptist Church, Milanville, with Pastor Lane Jones officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Gloria's name to the Calkins Baptist Church, 527 Calkins Road, Milanville, PA, 18443 Interment will be held at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Damascus, PA.
