Obituary of Wanda G. Hanson

Wanda G. Hanson, 90, of Honesdale passed away on December 27th at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband John C. Hanson, her two brothers Leon and Bill Gavitt and a sister Ruth Reynard. She is survived by one son John Hanson and his wife Linda in California, and two daughters, Karen Hanson in Honesdale and Nancy Hedgelon with her husband Don in South Carolina. In addition to her children she is survived by four grandsons, Jayson Hedgelon and wife Jodi, Joel Hedgelon and wife Danielle, and Jaime Hedgelon and his wife Rosemary, all of Honesdale, and Samuel Hanson and his wife Angelina in California. Wanda also had nine great grandchildren, Justin, Mercedes, Megan, Chloe, Gavin, Calvin, Cameron, Logan, and Carson, all of Honesdale. Wanda retired from Wayne Highlands School District where she was a secretary for Damascus Area School and Wayne Highlands Middle School. Services will be held at Calkins Union Church Thursday, January 2, 2013 where Wanda was a lifelong member. Family and Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and a memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Arrangements are attended by Arthur B. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main St., Honesdale, PA.
