Gertrude E. Price, 96 of Honesdale, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in the Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Price who died in 1992
Born on July 20, 1914 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Shaffer Saam King.
Earlier in life, Gertrude was a Certified Nurse's Aide in Kearney, NJ. She attended the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale.
She is survived by two grandsons: Ken Price of Spencer, NY and James Price of Delaware; four great-grandchildren: William, Francis, Megan, and Benjamin Price; a cousin, Viola Marshall of Seelyville, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sons: Kenneth and William; and two siblings: Kenneth Saam and Shirley Ritchie.
Graveside services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
Interment: Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
