Obituary of Elizabeth Aril Bryant

Elizabeth Aril Bryant, 30, of Honesdale, died Tuesday afternoon, July 23, 2013 surrounded by the love and presence of her family after a courageous battle against cancer.
Born on February 24, 1983 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of Arthur A. Bryant and Jane A. Case.
Aril graduated from Honesdale High School in 2001. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2005 from Muhlenberg College in Photography. She loved sports especially basketball, tennis and biking. She played basketball for both the Honesdale Hornets and the Muhlenberg Mules and in 2010 she was awarded the Scotty Wood Community Service Award by Muhlenberg College in recognition of her " community service and continued commitment to the betterment of society". After many years of travel and work Aril returned home to establish the retail fashion business, Freedlove, in Honesdale and Scranton with her sister Nadine. In addition to the running of the business Aril took a special interest in developing the online creative aspect; using her skills in photography, photoshop, and design for the retail space, incorporating her cause for breast cancer. Aril coordinated and participated in breast cancer events such as the YSC 250 mile bike rides, the Jacksonville, Fl 12 mile walk for breast cancer, the Susan G. Komen Walk, the Relay For Life, and the Pink Party very year in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Aril had a loving spirit that was felt by all who knew her.
Aril is also survived by a brother, Kirby Bryant; a sister, Nadine Bryant; a loving fianc Easton van der Bogert; maternal grandfather, Charles Case; many aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends, and a large extended family. Her family and friends meant the world to her and her presence will live on in their hearts and minds.
Friends may visit on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
