Obituary of Frank Alvarez

Frank Alvarez, 80, of Honesdale, died Saturday morning, April 27, 2013 at home. He is survived by his wife, Betty Vanos Alvarez.
Born on May 7, 1932 in Plains, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Theresa Gatley Alvarez.
After graduating high school, Frank served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He lived most of his life in New Jersey where he was the proprietor of Frank Alvarez & Sons Construction for over 45 years. Frank and Betty retired to Honesdale in 2002.
He is also survived by a daughter, Pamela Alvarez of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Jason Reis and Ashley Reis also of New Jersey; a brother, Leo Alvarez of Benton, PA; a nephew, Glen and his family, and a niece, Gwyn; her son Kyle, and family.
Funeral Services were held at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431 with Rev. Doug Lee officiating.
Following cremation, interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
