Kenneth F. Gorddard, 81, of Honesdale, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital after an illness.
Born on January 26, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Herbert and Ethel (Bauer) Gorddard. He served during the Korean War in the United States Navy. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Honesdale. Ken was also a member of the American Legion and the Tin Can Sailors in Massachusetts.
For many years, he worked as an automobile service manager.
He is also survived by a two children: Barbara Angelo of Medford NY, Richard Gorddard of Ronkonkoma, NY; and four grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Dreimann.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431with Rev. Edward Erb officiating.
Friends may visit on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will be private in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
