Obituary of Paula Olver

Paula Olver, 85 of Beech Grove, died at home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 30, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Alton Olver who died in 2008.
Born on April 5, 1927 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Irene Wilds Schwesinger. She was a member of St. John's the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Honesdale. Paula was actively involved on the family dairy farm, where she and her husband worked together and raised their family. She was a former member of the Land-O-Lakes Dairy Cooperative. Paula had also been a member of the Bethany Women's Club, and the Wayne County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed reading and word searches; she dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for always having a jar of cookies for the grandkids and son in laws.
She is survived by three daughters: Linda Stiles of Beech Grove, Gail Mannick and her husband Dale of Waymart, Karen Guzman and her husband Jerry of Mount Sinai, NY; grandchildren: Richard Stiles and his friend Brittany Wallace, Donald Stiles and his fianc Terri Kriner, Jennifer Dougherty and her husband Brian, Rebecca Park and her husband Kevin, Matthew Mannick and his fianc Emily, Eric Guzman, Alex Guzman, and Amanda Guzman; great-grandchildren: Noah and Eli Dougherty, and Brody Park; and her grand-dog: Brandy.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Stiles in 1993.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Honesdale, PA 18431.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
Interment will be on Thursday in the Bethany Cemetery.
