Obituary of Robert K. Geuther

Robert K. Geuther, 70, of Clinton Township, Wayne County, died Wednesday night August 22, 2012 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Rebekah L. Mead. They were married July 29, 1967.
Born on September 19, 1941 in Curtis Valley, he was the son of the late Charles B. Geuther and Elizabeth Corey Geuther. Following graduation from Pleasant Mount High School, Bob served in the United States National Guard. He owned and operated the family dairy farm, GEU-VEU Farm which was established by the Geuther family in 1893. Bob was a member of the Forest City United Methodist Church and the Dairyman's League.
In 2011, he was elected to serve as a Clinton Township Auditor, and was currently serving his first year in that capacity. Bob was fond of Ford tractors and enjoyed teaching his grandson how to drive them. Earlier and later in life, Bob took pleasure in going to square dances. He especially cherished his two grandchildren and will be remembered as a kind, hardworking, and honest man.
He is also survived by five children: Rachel Geuther, Bonnie K. Johnson and her husband Clinton, and Dale R. Geuther all of Clinton Township, Andy Geuther of Avoca, and Janet Curtis and her husband Ronald, also of Clinton Township; two grand-children: Tyler and Jessica Curtis; four sisters: Shirley Fischer of Woodland, California, Carol Kilmer of Florida, Kathryn Gill and her husband Fred of Carbondale, and Esther Kutch also of Carbondale; his mother and father-in -law: Clyde and Doris Mead of Creamton; a sister-in-law: Debbie Hiller and her husband Richard also of Creamton.
He was also preceded in death by a sister: Elaine M. Quigley
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431 with Pastor Errol Morgan officiating.
Friends may visit on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will be Saturday in Clinton Center Cemetery.
