Obituary of Patricia Peake

Patricia (Rake) Peake 71, of Honesdale, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband Marcus J. "Pete" Peake who passed away May 29, 2018. Born April 5, 1955 in Honesdale she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Mabel (Haines) Rake. She was employed as a receptionist at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center for almost 30 years. She attended the Cold Springs Chapel. Pat enjoyed cooking meals on holidays and Sundays for family. She loved family traditions especially baking and painting sugar cookies, and apple picking at Lakeland orchard. She loved to feed and watch birds, especially hummingbirds, and Saturday’s shopping with her daughter and going to lunch. Pat enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. Surviving are a daughter Tammy Seipp and her husband Kevin; two grandsons Michael Durando and his wife Taylor, and Sean Durando, and wife BrieAnn; siblings, Floyd Rake, Clarence Rake, Nancy Smith and Catherine Wasylyk; as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary and Laura Rake, Ruth Ann Racht and a brother Lewis Rake. The family would like to thank Dr. Getts, everyone at Davita Dialysis in Honesdale and especially the entire staff at Ellen Memorial for all the care they gave her in her last days A viewing will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 6-8 PM at the Arthur A Bryant Funeral Home and on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 10-11 AM at the funeral home with the funeral service following at 11 AM with Pastor Mary Bryant officiating.
