Obituary of James Marvin Kellam

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Marvin Kellam, 21, of Equinunk passed away Tuesday April 21, 2026 at his home. He was Marvin to his mother and “Bruiser” to those who knew him best as well as “Gibby” to his closest friends and “Jamser” to his father and sisters. Born March 8, 2005 in Honesdale he was a graduate of the Hancock High School and worked at Shale-Knob Farms Inc. He was a member of the Equinunk Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed four-wheeling, dirt biking, snowmobiling, fishing and loved archery hunting preferring it over rifle hunting. In his free time he always looked forward to a good demolition derby and was proud to boast that he had came in first place in a couple of them. He was a kind young man with a quick wit, big laugh and the best hugs. He filled every room with his energy. He had a smile that was both authentic and mischievous but quintessentially Bruiser’s and he always had a dance for his mom. James enjoyed the peace and quite of being on a tractor in the hay fields brought him, a trait he inherited from his Grandpa Kellam. Jamser made it a personal goal to constantly wrestle or pick on his sisters to get under their skin, but in a loving way to make them laugh. To say he’ll be missed is an understatement; life will never be the same and we’ll carry his memory in our hearts every day. Surviving are his father James A. Kellam of Equinunk; mother Tammy (Price) Kellam of Tyler Hill; two sisters Autumn and Ariel Kellam; his paternal grandparents James and Millie Kellam; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Marvin and Betty Price and a cousin Devin Ott. A celebration of life will be announced in the near future.
