Obituary of Barbara Jean Collins

Barbara Jean (Travis) Collins, 65, of Honesdale, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary Grant Collins, Sr. They were married on May 18, 1985. Born September 6, 1960, in Hancock, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Arlene (Seney) Travis. She graduated from Hancock High School. She grew up working on her family farm and also helped at other farms, milking and doing chores. Barbara also worked in the restaurant industry for 25 years at various local restaurants. She loved bowling and had been a member of numerous bowling leagues. She also enjoyed riding ATVs, gardening, planting flowers, and loved spending time with family and friends. Also surviving are her daughter, Amber Jean Collins; three siblings, Karen, Edward Jr., and Joan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Grant Collins, Jr., on Sept. 19, 2025.Visitation will be held on May 9, 2026, from 9:00 -11:00 at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 N. Main St., Honesdale, PA, with a memorial service following at 11:00 with Rev. Lloyd Canfield officiating.
